Sixpenny Wood Wind Farm Fund (East Riding)
Sixpenny Wood Wind Farm Fund
This grant scheme is for the benefit of the area around the Sixpenny Wood Wind in East Yorkshire, including Blacktoft, Eastrington, Gilberdyke, Hook, Kilpin and Laxton.
Administered by the Two Ridings Community Foundation on behalf of Greencoat UK Wind, this grant scheme is to benefit local residents affected by the construction and operation of the wind farm.
It will provide small grants for a variety of community projects that:
Enhance the quality of life for local residents
Contribute to vibrant, healthy, successful and sustainable communities
Promote community spirit and encourage community activity
Size of grants
Small ‘micro’ grants of up to £500 are available throughout the year (subject to available funding) and we aim to make decisions on these applications within 4 – 6 weeks of receiving a fully completed application.
Grants between £501 and £10,000 will be considered at a panel meeting once a year. Information on the current funding round will be published in due course.
As a minimum, applicants must provide at least 10% of the total project cost, this could be financially through their own fundraising efforts or ‘in kind’ through the support of volunteers getting involved and giving their time. Volunteer time should be calculated at the living wage foundation rate of £9.30. Please ensure where ‘in kind’ costs are included in the budget this is clearly noted.
