Summer Shindig

Where: The Charlecote Pheasant Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon, CV35 9EW

Format: Mixed Outdoor Volleyball Tournament. Men over 40. Ladies over 35.

We are so pleased to announce our first Summer Masters Event – a six a-side mixed outdoor volleyball tournament. We have secured the Charlecote Pheasant Hotel in Stratford Upon Avon and we will have the run of the hotel for the whole weekend. The volleyball tournament will take place within the hotel grounds so once you arrive on Friday there is no reason to leave the hotel until you have finished your breakfast on the Sunday.
The hotel is situated just four miles from junction 15 on the M40 so has excellent access to those travelling from both the North and South. Birmingham airport is just 22 miles away.
The format of the tournament will consist of 12 mixed teams. Each team will have 9 people per team with a minimum of 3 women on court at any given time. You can enter a whole or part team or enter as an individual and we will marry you together with others. The age parameters remain – 35 year and over for ladies, 40 years and over for men. There will be 3 courts and matches will be timed throughout the day with 40 minutes between games for hydration breaks – the hotel bar is just 2 mins away from the courts. The emphasis for the weekend will definitely be on fun and there will be a BBQ and music playing throughout the day.
Cost includes:
• Hotel accommodation for 2 nights
• Friday evening buffet
• Breakfast Saturday and Sunday morning
• Volleyball tournament
• Saturday night Hawaiian themed BBQ / party with disco and prize presentations.
• Rum punch on arrival, steak, jerk chicken and marinated pork chops with either a fish or vegetarian option
• 2 books of drinks voucher – equates to 5 free drinks per night
• Additional drinks vouchers can be purchased at £15 per book
The bar will remain open until 4 am on both nights.
Teams will be contacted one month before the event, so you know who is in your team in case you wish to co-ordinate playing tops etc and start the banter.
