A message from the London VA Chair Gary Beckford
Gary Beckford talks about getting volleyball back on its feet in London
“We are in a time of massive changes as we get used to a 'new normal.' Competitive volleyball leagues have been missing for a while and we are slowly getting going again. It may be time for a change in the way that we look at volleyball in London, how, it's run, managed, and structured and who is involved. Over the lockdown 30+ policies, rules, procedures, and guidelines have been written or updated (https://londonvolleyball.org.uk/resources-downloads/) to help with this process.
Are you passionate about volleyball in London, about bringing the whole volleyball community together with the beach, Indoor, Sitting, Equadorian, Recreational, University, junior volleyball, and more? If so, you have the opportunity to help to shape the future direction of the Association. The AGM and league meetings are on Sunday 8th August. All bar one of the posts are open for election, so get involved and help to build on the solid foundations that we have created in London. Have a look at the positions available and remember that small amounts by more people will help massively. See you on Sunday (virtually). If you want more information please message the LVA secretary at lvasec2019@gmail.com “
