Birmingham 2022 are looking for a Sport Information and Publications Manager to manage the scoping, development, production and delivery of identified sport operational publications across all Sport functional areas. The role is also responsible for the planning and development of all sport related information for Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs) at Games time, as well as the management of a team to deliver the Sport Information Centres and athlete service within the Commonwealth Games Villages.

Salary - up to £40,000

Responsibilities

  • Manage all processes of scoping, development, sign-off, production and delivery of identified sport operational publications across all Sport functional areas in close cooperation with Sport Competition Management and Marketing team in accordance with set timelines and meeting requirements of the Commonwealth Games Federation

  • In conjunction with Technology develop a solution for delivering sport publications ‘online’ to various client groups

  • Responsible for planning of sport information across all Commonwealth Games Villages, including the design, layout, technology, furniture fittings and equipment

  • Coordinate with Sport Competition Management to support planning and delivery of Sport Information Desks at all competition venues

  • Responsible for coordination and planning of various sport services at CGVs, including athlete recovery areas, saunas, gyms, weigh-ins

  • Coordinating all sport related activities in the CGVs

  • Recruit, manage and develop a team of paid and volunteer workforce to deliver successful sport information services at Games time and ensure a high level of service is provided to all CGAs

  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Games Family Services, Technology and Village Management teams to facilitate the planning and delivery of all sport information and publications milestones

  • Manage the Sport Publications and athlete services within the CGVs budget allocation

  • Develop operations plans, policies and procedures relevant to the Sport Information Centres in line with wider Games requirements

  • Support development of various information using pre-set templates to be delivered online, digital or print to support various goals of Sport department

  • Ensure effective training plans are in place for Sport Information and athlete services within the CGVs volunteers

  • Support the completion of relevant Sport Operations and athlete services within the CGVs milestones and project plans and related reporting, in line with the Games wide project plan
