Birmingham 2022 launch sand is used to support sport.

One week after the site of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Beach Volleyball venue was announced, as part of the 2 years to go celebrations, the sand that was used for the demonstration event is being put to to good use. The sand from the beach volleyball demonstration last week ios being used to help maintain bowling greens such as Ley Hill in Sutton Coldfield - One #B2022 sport benefitting from another

Volleyball England now have a Legacy 2022 working group looking at the long term benefits for volleyball following the Commonwealth games in Birmingham.
