Luxembourg, October 13, 2020. The XLI CEV General Assembly will be taking place this coming Friday, October 16, at the Marriott Hotel in Vienna, Austria. Delegates representing 43 National Federations have confirmed they will be attending this elective conference, which will play a key role in shaping the future of European Volleyball.
The event in the Austrian capital will provide members of the Volleyball family with the opportunity to review the activities of the past 12 months, including the CEV’s swift response to the many challenges brought by the coronavirus pandemic, as well as to discuss plans for the future.

The highlight will be elections for all of the CEV’s institutional bodies, including the presidency, with incumbent CEV President Aleksandar Boričić and current CEV Vice-President Hanno Pevkur standing for the position at the helm of the organisation.

The elective conference will define the members of the CEV Board of Administration and Legal Chamber – as well as the European representatives due to sit in the FIVB Board of Administration for the next four-year term.

The CEV and the local authorities have worked on a comprehensive health and hygiene concept for the in-person General Assembly to take place in a ‘bio-secure bubble’ to provide a safe environment for members of the Volleyball family to come together for such an important conference.
