Checking in with the Bello Brothers!

Is there anything better than catching up with our ambassadors? We think not!

Having recently travelled back from Tenerife training camp, Javier & Joaquin Bello are in full pre-season mode, meaning life consists mainly of training!

In their words, "Cyprus, Lorca (Spain) and now Tenerife (Spain) have been our 'remedies' to fight cold and rainy London" - I don’t know about you, but I think I may need to try this remedy too!!

Joaquin is continuing with his 5th year medicine hospital placements, and has picked up a few interesting stories about his experiences in the different specialties, including being recognised by a patient who watched the Commonwealth Games!

Because of his limited availability to travel, the Bello's will not be competing in the first Beach Pro Tour events of the season in Mexico and Brazil, starting later this month. They will, however, look at entering other tournaments in Europe to prepare for the long and exciting season ahead.

The boys also said, "an interesting one we are looking forward to is the Beach Nations Cup, a new format of competition that replaces the Continental Cup as a qualification route for the Olympic Games. The drawing of lots took place a couple of weeks ago and England will be competing in Pool A, together with Norway (yes, that same Norway who could bring the current #1s, Olympic and World champions, Mol/Sorum, aka, the beach volley vikings). Exact dates and location will be published any minute, but the first round will take place in May/June this year".

Just to add to the craziness of their lives, the Bello's have a couple of social interactions lined up for the next 2 months, school appearances, presenting awards, coaching!

Thank-you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to chat with us!

As always, we love hearing what you've been up to!
