Next week at the Volleyball England Award a range of volunteers will be rewarded for their contribution to our sport.
Most will smile and say ‘I didn’t do this alone, I’m part of a team’ or ‘I don’t do this to be acknowledge I do it for the benefit of others in my volleyball family’ whatever their motivation it’s always nice to have your efforts recognised.
Last week an award was finally able to be presented to Helen Rushby from the South West Volleyball Association for all her hard work and efforts with Wessex Volleyball Club.
No doubt Helen will be a lifelong volunteer in volleyball, supporting others and acting as a role model for other to step into the volunteering world.

If you would like to experience being a volunteer at a major event, Volleyball England are still looking for volunteers to support the delivery of the Beach Volleyball competition at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
