First Sitting Grand Prix event taking place tomorrow

After 18 months of not being together, tomorrow will bring the sitting volleyball community back together again at the National Volleyball Centre at Kettering.

There will be 10 teams taking part in 2 tiers. In Tier 2 will be 2 teams that have been funded by the Volleyball England Foundation, Salisbury and Leeds Gorse.

The Foundation have been working with 5 clubs to develop a sitting team, in addition to Leeds and Salisbury, Hull Thunder, Manchester Marvels and Nottingham Rockets have all been successful in securing support from the Foundation.

Another round of application will open in October, if your club is, affiliated to Volleyball England and is interested in setting up a sitting section then get in touch - foundation@volleyballengland.org.

The Grand Prix will be using the COVID infection control nets and infection control kits, secured through the Sport England Return to Play fund, at the Grand Prix, ensuring every precaution is taken to keep participants, supporters and spectators safe.
