Happy Birthday, Invictus Games
On 8th May, the Invictus Games celebrated its 10th anniversary!
First held in 2014, the Invictus Games is a multi-sport event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women.
Richard Osbourne wrote a fantastic piece on his social media platforms, highlighting how the Games have impacted his life…
“A very special day today, as the INVICTUS GAMES celebrates its 10th anniversary. I have been fortunate enough to be part of the Games from the very start, back in 2014, when a chance encounter with Team Georgia led to a coaching role that lasted for 3 Games (2014, 2016 and 2017). I then moved to coach Team UK in Sydney (2018), The Hague (2020) and Dusseldorf (2023). I have been extremely lucky to also help Team Ukraine in its preparations for Dusseldorf and this year I am offering support to Denmark as well as coaching Team UK once again. It has been an exceptional journey, filled with emotion. I have met so many wonderful people along the way - they are all incredible. Happy Birthday INVICTUS GAMES”.
We’ve shared some photographs of Richard’s fantastic memories below…
(Also, great to see Prince Harry attending the Invictus Games Thanksgiving Service, at St Pauls Cathedral!)
Happy Birthday, Invictus Games!!
