June marks LGBTQ+ Pride Month

This is a month that is dedicated to celebration and commemoration of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBTQ+) pride.

It is described to be an entire month dedicated to the uplifting of LGBTQ+ voices, a celebration of LGBTQ+ culture and the support of LGBTQ+ rights.

Pride Month began after the Stonewall riots, a series of gay liberation protests in 1969.
