Let’s meet Jessie Petersen Forrester from Malory Eagles

Jessie was first introduced to volleyball at primary school by the legendary John Lowney.

Once at secondary school she developed her game under the guidance of her PE teacher, our very own Coach Carlos Johnson. Jessie quickly became a very talented young player, going on to represent Graveney School, the Borough and County squads.

At the age of 14 was selected for the Junior English National team. At the same time she started representing Malory Eagles, playing in the London Premier League. Shortly after she became a regular playing in the Volleyball England Super 8s (Super League).

Jessie went on to University of Leeds where she was an integral part of their title winning team. After graduating she returned to London and Captained Malory Eagles in the Super League.

Was that all Jessie gave to Malory Eagles? Of course not! Jessie brought on the next wave of junior talent as part of the coaching team that guided our U16 girls to their first National title back in 2015.

Malory Eagles would like to say thank you Jessie and it has been a big pleasure having you in the Malory Eagles family since 2009 to 2016! We hope to see you return at some point in the near future.

Keep flying high Eagles!
