Malory Eagles wondering what the ‘New Normal’ might be?

Malory Eagles wondering what the ‘New Normal’ might be?

As a club we are awaiting more detail about indoor sports from the government before we hold our AGM as we don't know what we are preparing for!

We use both a school facility and a privately run leisure centre for training and matches.

We would need to have conversations with both about their opening times and risk assessments as well as having our own club rules.

The decisions will be made once we know if the number of 6 people can increase otherwise that just means 1 coach and 5 athletes. That is not really cost effective for renting an indoor space even on a rotation schedule, say 6 an hour.

The usual recommendations about washing hands, cleaning equipment and keeping away from

Net play for the moment are likely to be enforced. But we need the number of people allowed to train to increase. As for competitions or full game play of 6 v 6 I think we are a way off from that at the moment

As for the new normal  - Volleyball indoors may be allowed without masks but net play is the most

Risky part as you are facing opponents and breathing out.

We are all desperate to get back but we must abide by the guidelines.

Watch this space!!

Thanks Carol Gordon team manager.
