March 6th - time for Sitting Grand Prix No. 5

Today 10 teams from across the country will take part in the penultimate Grand Prix of the 2021 /22 season, the last competition being on Sunday the 27th of March.

There are six Grand Prix’s during the season, starting in September and running through to the end of March, each Grand Prix is divided in to two tiers, with 5 teams playing in each. The teams have to belong to a club affiliated to Volleyball England and pay a fee of £75 to play in each Grand Prix.

Over the last 12 months the Foundation have been supporting the development of 5 new teams, today one Salisbury is playing in Tier 1 and for the first time Nottingham Rockets are playing in Tier 2.

Good luck today Nottingham Rockets

Nottingham Rockets have been working with other clubs in Nottingham to ensure anyone in the city has access to this inclusive sport and today will compete for the first time.

We are looking forward to the other 3 teams taking part in the Grand Prix next season,, all have training and open sessions accessible to anyone in their local area.
