Wapping Wildcats are the latest club to receive a Sport England Return to Play grant, supported by the Volleyball England Foundation.

The Wildcats application will help them get back on court and help players to be protected from cross contamination from COVID. In addition to infection control kits Wildcats will also be able to purchase additional balls and equipment to ensure there is enough equipment for smaller groups to train.

At the heart of their plans is ensuring the safety and wellbeing of each of those attending the sessions. Therefore, they have set out a few basic rules that everyone will follow when attending a training sessions so that they keep each other safe. By attending the sessions all must agree to follow the rules.

Elsa Meserlian the Club Head Coach told us that “This grant means we can cater for the surge of sign ups we have had of members coming back to the club. The grant means we don’t have to turn anyone away due to COVID safety measures!”
