We Donated 20 Volleyballs, as part of the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 Legacy

As part of the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 Legacy, 20 volleyballs were loaned to Bishop Challoner College, Birmingham!

After seeing the students enjoying using the balls, we spoke to the college, to see how the donation has aided their students.

How are the students benefitting from the balls?
120 students across the week are accessing the volleyballs during curriculum and after school".

What have they been using the balls for?
”The balls have been used for GCSE PE Volleyball lessons, KS3 lessons and also the extra curricular club on Thursday".

How many students have been using the balls?
”We have KS3/4 and KS5 students using the balls".

Do you feel the scheme has had a positive impact so far?
”We were very much in need of the volleyballs as it was one of the main sports in school for GCSE PE. It is also one of our most popular clubs and the balls we had were old and damaged. The new balls meant we could replace our older ones and this alone is inspiring for the students".

In your opinion, do you feel the contribution of 20 balls has encouraged these young people to exercise more?
”As mentioned above, new equipment is always inspiring and motivating for students. It shows that we as a department want to give our students the best opportunities possible and that with the best equipment, more children will get involved in playing the sport".

It's always great to see more people enjoying the sport!
