Why become a member of the Foundation Board?

The Volleyball England Foundation is currently in the process of recruiting new members to their Board.

The foundation currently has 8 members and would like to increase this possibly to 12. The application process has now been open for the last 2 weeks and will close this Friday. If you are interested there is still time to get an application pack - just email foundation@volleyballengland.org

Here are some of the reasons Sue Storey joined the Foundation Board

“It is very enjoyable, it is good to work with such a professional and committed bunch of people and some great characters which mean the board meeting and work of the board is very enjoyable. If you love what you are doing, it never seems like hard work.”

We asked Sue - “What do you think the greatest achievement of the VEF has been thus far?”

Sue felt that

“The sitting programme has given a step up to the sitting community, we have raised money distributed grants, supported the COVID response and are working closely with the VE sitting working group to see how we can continue to support this important area. The grants received will make a real and immediate impact on the ability of sitting athletes to play the sport they love.”

We asked    “What type of person do you think we are looking for to join the VEF Board?”

“I would like to see someone who believes they can make a difference to a charity, who has the skills to support the work, no matter what stage of their career they are at or whether they know anything about Volleyball, and most importantly has a sense of humour and will bring more positivity and fun to the work we do. In return they will get the chance to support and develop the work of VEF and be able to make a difference in volleyball – We look forward to working with such people!”

Thank you Sue.

If you think you can make a contribution to our sport and the charity, request an application pack TODAY - Applications close on FRIDAY.
