Young Volunteers ready for their big day.
The Foundation were happy to support the development of the young volunteers that will be on court today acting as sand rakers and ball rotators at the Commonwealth Games.
Now the training is complete, the volunteers are kitted out and yesterday supported the practice run through ready for the big day today.
The young volunteers come from a number of clubs across the East and West Midlands, supported by chaperones.
The volunteers came from the following clubs- Ashfield Vipers, Tettenhall Tigers, Tamworth Spartans, Coventry and Warwick Riga and Nuneaton VCs.
Jonathan Moore (Beach Volleyball Competition Manager at Brum2022) : "It was fantastic to have the support of the Volleyball England Foundation to enable us to deliver the next generation of event volunteers a training programme in ball retrieving and sand raking. These roles are fundamental to the operation of the game and we look forward to everyone seeing them do their thing at Smithfield today."
Thank you to all the young people taking part and the support from their club team mates.
Good luck over the next 8 days.
