John Worrall, known in the sitting world as Wozza, is looking forward to playing again.
John Worrall is the Volleyball England member of staff with a real understanding of the world of sitting volleyball. John has been looking forward to getting back on court. “I have really missed playing and training, time on court and seeing teammates, I really do miss them especially at this time, It has been a worldwide struggle but hopefully there will be light at the end of the tunnel and we can get back training and playing as soon as its safe to do so. “
During the lockdown John has been keeping in touch with his team mates, “ We have recently set up online zoom training sessions with the GB men's team, Ian Legrand has been setting skills sessions where we can practice on our own at home, and Melissa Young has been taking us for online S&C as part of the sessions as well, the GB women's team have been running similar sessions. Last year Jeannette Adoubobie set up online zoom sessions for London Lynx run by Ian. It has been good to practice in some form during this time and great to see everyone and helping us keep in touch.”
John is looking forward to getting back on court and competing in the Grand Prix again. “The new COVID nets will be brilliant.” said John “The Loughborough club was resurrected in 2017 and it would be great to carry on the progress that has been made since then.”
