Nottingham Casualties' first Sitting Grand Prix!

We chatted to Nottingham Casualties, following on from their first Sitting Grand Prix!

How did you find your first Grand Prix?

“Nottingham Casualties really enjoyed our first Sitting Volleyball Grand Prix. Everyone made us feel really welcome and it was great to play in a friendly, inclusive and competitive environment!”

Where was the event held / when was it?

“The Grand Prix was hosted at the National Volleyball Centre in Kettering and took place on Sunday 24 September “.

 What were the scores?

“Our first game was against Telford which we won 2-0. Game 2 was against Panthers which we also won 2-0. And our third and final game was against Help For Heroes B which we came back to win 2-1”.

Would you take part in another Sitting Grand Prix?

“We will be back for Grand Prix 2, with a training session under our belt, and ready to take on tier 1”.

Did you get any feedback from those who took part?

“Everyone at casualties really enjoyed the day. For many of the team, it was their first time playing the sitting version of the game and everyone left with smiles on their faces (and very sore backsides!). We look forward to going from strength to strength as a team, having regular training sessions to help us improve our game!”.

Thank-you for your time! We have some fab photographs from the event, so be sure to keep scrolling if you’d like to have a look.
