What is Simon looking forward to after the lockdown?
The England Senior Men’s Head Coach Simon Loftus is able to take his eye off the ball!
1. How were you first introduced to Volleyball?
When at Primary School the teacher from the high school came over to do some taster sessions. He turned out to be the Scottish National Team Head Coach Thomas Dowens.
2. What was the most difficult skill to master on court?
Watch players and not the ball
3. What makes you most proud of our Volleyball Family?
Most of the people I have met, played with and against, coached and worked with in Volleyball are genuinely great people and I’m luck to call many of them friends.
4. What was your greatest Volleyball achievement?
Player – Playing for my Country. Coach – Been lucky enough to win several leagues and championships including NEVZA with IBB Polonia 18/19 but my season in Sweden I feel was my best coaching season.
5. What are you missing most during the lockdown?
Friends and Family
6. What are you looking forward to most once the lockdown is over?
Getting back on court with the National team boys
