Gordon Neale, ex chair of the Foundation, ambassador for sitting volleyball and making volleyball an inclusive sport. An all round Volleyball hero.

1. How were you first introduced to Volleyball?

First serious stuff was with a team called Headway in Epping during the 70’s a team which included a very young Vince Krawczyk (Scotland coach)

2. What was the most difficult skill to master on court?

Being a good setter 

3.What makes you most proud of our Volleyball Family?

Totally inclusive sport since the early 80’s

4. What was your greatest Volleyball achievement?

 This is the most difficult and could include -

Getting volleyball recognised as an official Army sport in the 70’s

Introducing sitting volleyball to GB and coaching the national team

Refereeing at the Paralympics

Becoming Vice President of World ParaVolley in the 90’s

Nominated by VE to carry the Olympic Torch in 2012

Technical Delegate for the World Super 6 in Iran in 2018

Being recognised by WPV this month for my contribution to the game

5. What are you missing most during the lockdown?

 Grandchildren like crazy

6. What are you looking forward to most once the lockdown is over?
