Sport England 'Return to Play' tops £90k - funding still flowing into Volleyball Clubs.
The Volleyball England Foundation continue to support Regional and Area Associations and individual clubs to secure Sport England Return to Play funding.
Over the last 4 months the Foundation has worked with the volleyball community to submit 13 successful bid to Return to Play securing over £90,000 from the £15m pot. We also have 4 applications being considered and 2 more application in development.
The Foundation has supported 16 sitting volleyball clubs to receive COVID prevention nets and Infection control kits. 16 clubs affiliated to the East Midlands and 5 clubs that are part of the Hull and East Yorkshire Volleyball Association also received infection control kits and an additional outdoor net system to allow more players to participate in the safer environment outdoors. The application for Yorkshire Volleyball Association supported 7 clubs and included outdoor nets, balls, electronic whistles and infection control kits.
More recently we have been working with individual clubs, these include Wapping Wildcats and Maidstone VC who have secured over £5k for equipment to reduce the spread of COVID,
Will let you know when we reach the £100k+ mark.
